Annual report 2023-24

Over 2000 people across Dudley borough shared their experiences in 2023-24. Their voices have helped inspire real change in health and social care services.

Summary

The past year has been difficult for many people across the Dudley borough. We heard how the cost of living crisis has impacted people's wellbeing and is making health inequalities worse.

Throughout the past year, we have worked with services to use people's experiences to develop creative solutions to issues raised.

Key outcomes

  • Steering group formed to address the over-representation of minority ethnic young people in the Youth Justice System.
  • A new charter is being considered to ensure local GP
services meet the accessibility needs of all patients -
making it easier for you to get an appointment.
  • We went to 107 community activities and events in 2023-2024 to listen to the whole community.
