Annual report 2013-14

Our first annual report describes the work we have done since Healthwatch Dudley started. We share the efforts of our team of 3 staff and 30 volunteers to listen to the people of Dudley borough. We have also contributed to creating a network of 80 Community Information Champions, this has made it easier for people to access information about health and social care services.

Summary

We have spent our first year building relationships, connecting with the community and sharing information about services.

We have also been raising our profile with local decision makers. We think that we are in a better position to influence local decisions if we are included in conversations that take place.

Key outcomes

  • Over 80 Community Information Champions.
  • A dedicated team of 30 volunteers.
  • Over 1000 people surveyed to research the A&E at Russells Hall Hospital.

“Healthwatch Dudley is just one year old but is already having a positive impact on both health and social care on behalf of the people of Dudley."

-Paul Maubach, Chief Accountable Officer at Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group
